Family Life Auxiliary of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation

Having a child with medical challenges can be overwhelming, and caring for the family’s psychosocial needs is just as important as caring for the child’s medical needs. The Family Life Auxiliary of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation is a network of volunteers who are committed to helping transform the lives of patients and families. Our efforts help to heal the entire family and send patients home with a family that feels supported, cared for, and empowered to continue their child’s recovery process. This dynamic group of volunteers is dedicated to increasing awareness and raising vital funds to enhance the quality of care provided to our patients. These funds help support activities and programs that patients and their families can enjoy together during their stay at the hospital. Click here to meet our Auxiliary members!

How Can You Help?

If you or someone you know has been touched by our programs, joining the Family Life Auxiliary is a meaningful way to honor them as you devote energy to helping advance the care and support needed to create brighter futures. Our members are as diverse as the patients we treat. Men and women of all ages, occupations, and backgrounds have joined together with a common desire to support families and help children as they adjust to being hospitalized.

From volunteer opportunities to leadership roles, the Family Life Auxiliary offers several levels of involvement:

  • Volunteer at fundraising events
  • Join or lead an event-planning committee
  • Organize fundraisers big and small
  • Become an ambassador and promote the Family Life Auxiliary within your community
